Educator
Being a researcher comes naturally to me as someone who is interested in creativity. After all, to be creative is to uncover new understandings, which is really synonymous with research.
My PhD research focused on how to nurture creativity in education. Instead of writing a 90,000 word dissertation, I created a series of YouTube videos and a blog, and I was the first person in the world to earn a PhD this way.
My dissertation documentary, titled Raising Creativity, can be viewed to the left.
My blogs can be viewed at this link.
I wrote an article about my PhD journey that was published in University Affairs magazine. You can read it here.
For my Masters of Education research, in addition to a research paper, I painted a double self-portrait that spoke to the nature of learning.
My MEd research paper was published in the Journal of Unschooling and Alternative Learning. You can read it here.
